We get asked lots of questions. Here's the most frequent ones and our answers to them...
The site originally started out as a Facebook app back in 2008 and quickly grew to over 100,000 registered users. Unfortunately, the Facebook platform keeps evolving and what worked in 2008 is no longer supported in 2024.
I work full time and with a wife and young son, this leaves me with very little spare time. Updates and promotions take up the majority of the time I spend on footballgroundmap.com, and unfortunately, I just don't have the time to be able to support a Facebook app as well.
I looked into developing an iPhone app, but similar to Facebook, I just don't have the time to be able to dedicate to it. If you're a mobile app developer and would like to help, please feel free to contact me.
Of course, that's what the site is all about. If there's a new team or ground that needs adding, please contact me with the details.
With so many leagues, the site takes a very long time to update every year. I work through the leagues in their order of popularity - generally, this means the main English and Scottish leagues are updated first, followed by the major European leagues (Spain, Germany, Italy, France and Holland). It's then a case of diving further down the English pyramid, as long as the data is available.
Use the search function (top right) to search for the team or ground name. We've used a partial search system, so a search for "chest" will return, Chester City, Chesterfield, Manchester United, Manchester City, etc.
We have added most of the world's major teams and grounds to the site and are regularly adding more, but we haven't got all of them yet! If there's a specific team/ground you'd like to see, simply contact us with the details.
We do all we can to ensure that our ground locations are as accurate as possible. If you've spotted a mistake, please contact us.
