Tottenham Hotspur are to increase the capacity of their stadium to 62,850. The move will see the club install an extra 500 seats at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The additional seating will be added to the South Stand, split between the lower, middle and upper tiers.
Spurs opened the new £1bn stadium in 2019. Due to segregation, its current record attendance stands at 61,104 for a Premier League match against Chelsea late last year.
After the new seats are added, the stadium will stay in 22nd place on the list of Europe's largest stadiums, around 800 seats smaller than Benfica's Estadio da Luz.

Spurs' new stadium has been boosted by the news that Haringey council have agreed to change the official capacity to 62,214.
The Premier League giants will be able to sell a handful of extra seats in the North and South stands, increasing the capacity by 152. It might not sound much, but assuming around £50 a ticket and 20+ home games, it'll easily add up to over £150,000/yr in revenue… which would be almost enough to cover Harry Kane's wages for a week.
Of course, the official capacity is unlikely to ever be reached for football due to the necessary segregation between home and away fans.
The current record attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium sits at 60,407 set for the 2019/2020 opening match of the season vs Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium has finally played host to its first match!
After much delay, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium finally hosted its first competitive game as Spurs' beat Southampton 3-1 in the U18 Premier League with Tottenham's J'Neil Bennett scoring the first ever goal at the new stadium. The attendance of 28,987 was the largest ever for an U18 Premier League match.
That was the first of 2 official test events, with the second being a friendly between Spurs Legends and Inter Forever a week later.
The first Premier League game will be the London derby against Crystal Palace on Wednesday April 3rd. An official opening ceremony will take place before kick-off.
