The Stafflex Arena Facts

The ground is situated in Storthes Hall Park, which, up until 1992, was the site of Storthes Hall mental facility, the ground and subsequent pitches and outbuildings were part of the hospital's sports complex. (MartE)
Storthes Hall Staff team played in the Huddersfield Works League in the 1960s. Playing there as a skinny sixteen year old winger with a crowd made up of patients was a worrying xperience! (wildthing)
