Glasgow Rangers are considering a number of options to expanding Ibrox, with one of them being an ambitious increase in capacity to 70,000.
A 70,000 capacity rebuild would be a long-term project for the club. In the short term, they are focusing on more achievable options including: adding 1,300 to 4,000 seats by filling in the corners or lowering the pitch to add an extra 4,500 seats.

Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers are exploring the possibility of increasing the capacity of their Ibrox stadium.
The club are exploring options, but are hoping to add around 5,000 new seats, taking the total capacity from the current 50,817 to around 56,000.
The project is in the early phases of planning with a feasibility study currently underway. The hope is to increase capacity with small improvements as opposed to a big change like adding a new tier onto one of the stands.
It can't be argued at Rangers don’t need the extra seats - the club have had to suspend season ticket sales after selling 45,757 beating last year’s record of 45,419. With 14,000 people on the waiting list, it could be argued that ‘Gers should be adding more than the rumoured extra 5,000.
