My 1st game was when I was 7 years old on the 21st Oct 1998 at the then McAlpine Stadium for Huddersfield vs Sunderland. Remember it being a top of the table game in League 1 which is now the Championship, Sunderland were undefeated and favourites to get promotion after the play off final defeat and Huddersfield under Steve Bruce were challenging. Think Marcus Stewart ex of Sunderland opened the scoring, I was in the home section which as a 7 year old I didn't care about but I stayed on my seat as they scored but as Kevin Ball equalised I was up jumping around and I got some looks. The game finished 1-1, I went home happy and it started me on my way supporting Sunderland.
