Im just hoping to get to every ground, sometime in my lifetime. It would be quite an achievement, because Iwas in the Merchant Navy for a long time.
My Dad took me to the Vetch Field in the mid to late 60s, cant remember who the Swans played but I ll always remember Len Allchurch scoring direct from a corner.
To many to mention really. Heres a few,Wales beating Scotland at Hampden in the 80s. Swans winning at Wembley,Swans winning at the Millenium Stadium. Beating Hull last game of the season to stay in the Football League.Beating cardiff in the Carling Cup last season is always a highlight. Preston away last game to clinch promotion to the old First Division in 81, with roughly 12,000 Swans fans up in Deepdale ( That possibly could be the greatest game, now that Im thinking about it. )We had reached the promised land, after 70years of trying.........Brilliant.
I need more space than the last question. Ha Ha We ll leave it at that.
Apart from the Liberty Stadium, Im a secret L.U.F.C supporter. The atmosphere up there is so intimidating...........Its brilliant.
Theres quite a few naff grounds around. Ithink Ill go for Layer Rd. It was the pits.
