Milk Cup semi-final first leg vs. Liverpool at Anfield in 1983, which was the only game my dad took me to when I was a youngster (I was aged 10). Burnley lost 3-0, but managed a consolation 1-0 victory in the return leg, which we did not go to.
The Play-off victory vs Sheffield United at Wembley on May 25th 2009 would take some beating, particularly as it ensured Burnley a return to the top division of English football for the first time in 33 years.
The most frustrating must be the Carling Cup semi-final second leg last season (2008/09), when Burnley overcame a 1-4 deficit from the first leg, to score three times in 90 minutes. However, away goals did not count until after extra time, and Spurs scored again in the 118th & 119th minutes to cruelly deny what would've been our first major final since 1962.
Absolutely immense stadium - never to be forgotten (the result helped too, if I'm honest!)
No longer in use, but like going back half a century - outdated and extremely intimidating. I know some people like that sort of thing, but not me.
