First Game

Carilse v Burnley 1-1 (1989)

Best Game

Such difficult question to answer, as there's hundreds, so I'm having a few:

Leeds 4 - 3 Liverpool 2001

2-0 down in 10 minutes to Hyppia and Ziege headers, massive hangver too as Maxwell suffered in the Elland Road Kop, for this lunchtime kick off in the November sun. But then wait, Viduka singlehandedly took it upon himself to destroy the Scousers!!

Luckily played in by a Smith deflection, he chipped it in to pull one back. Tthen after half time, a Gary Kelly cross and Viduka thunders in a header - 2-2!

Smicer got a 3rd for Liverpool, but then in the space of ten minutes, Viduka swivveled, dummied, turned the Liverpool defence inside out and slammed in the equaliser off the post. His hat-tric! The joy after that went in - better than a thousand orgasms! Smith, Vidukes, Hartey, Kelly etc all fell over the advertisment hoardings right in front of me)
Then 5 minuts after that, he's through again......VIDUKA.........IT'S FOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Four for Viduka, four for Leeds! Oh the ecstasy in that short space of time, will never ever be repeated. Just about the most ecstatic ten minutes of my life. Nothing has came close. A woman will never be able to giv me the same satisfaction as that.

Leeds 4 -5 Liverpool - 1991 (ok we got beat, but nearly a great comeback. We were 4-0 down in 20 miniutes!) A Chapman hat-trick later, and a Carl Shutt goal, and a dis-alowed goal - what drama)

Leeds 2-1 Man Utd - 1994 (the first time I saw us beat the Scum, and what a game! David Wetherall - forever in my heart for mis-kicking it and sending Schmeichel the wrong way for the first goal)

There are other games, but the above ones just shade it for the top three.

Worst Game

Worst game in terms of heartbreak, the 4-0 defeat by Man Utd in 1996 (Wilko's last game in charge) was tough to take, but the worst has to be the League Cup Final 6 months prior to that.

Aston Villa 3-0 Leeds Utd - without doubt, the biggest let down ever. A surrender, simple as that. Milosevic......25 yards screamer, beyond Lukic's despairing dive. The ball smashed into the back of the Wembley net, and smashed my heart at the same time. I've had girlfriends dump me and it not affect me as much as that did!

In terms of poor quality:

Leeds 0 -1 West Ham - 2001. Absolutely dire. A Winterburn header the only goal. A wet, dull day, and the football on show was garbage. It would be too easy to pick a third division game for worst quality, but these were two Premiership teams. Desperate stuff.

If I cannot choose Elland Road, then it has to be Highbury. A shame that it is no longer there, but that place - a big aura about it. Haven't been to the Emirates but I guarantee, the atmosphere there will never replace Highbury.

Godison is worth a mention, and ok......Old Trafford.

An absolute shed of a ground. They're not there anymore of course, but this ground really did take the chant "shit ground, no fans" to a different level.
