Wimbledon away, February 1996. Eric Cantona's return to Selhurst Park after the Kung Fu incident the year before. He scored twice in an entertaining 4-2 win.
Best Game
Probably the best game was the Manchester derby this season, but hard to pick just one. The Champions League home games against Roma (7-1) and AC Milan (3-2, Rooney injury time winner) were also pretty special.
Other games that stand out in the memory are Watford v West Brom back in 2001, a topsy turvy 3-3 draw, and Swansea v Bournemouth in 2008, when Bournemouth scored twice in injury time to win 2-1 against the league leaders.
Worst Game
A fair few horrendous Bournemouth away games...they never seem to turn up for the Tuesday night games away from home up North on a cold Tuesday night. Stoke v Watford in 2007, two direct teams cancelling each other out for a 0-0. United losing at home to West Ham 1-0 in 2001. Their 6th loss of the league season, and the seemed like they were already out of the title race even in December. Very rare off year for United.
Just for it's sheer size, it takes your breath away. The olympic stadium in Rome brings out a similar reaction, but the poor facilities let it down. In England, the nicest grounds in my opinion are situated a few miles apart, Old Trafford and Eastlands. Newcastle's St James' Park is also pretty impressive.
An athletics stadium, with temporary stands and an absolutely awful view, and yet still not a particularly cheap place to visit. Gillingham's ground is also pretty awful for away fans with extremely heavy-handed stewarding.
