a special mention to Hartlepool United , went there on a midweek when we had a game at Middlesborough just to pick up a club pennant as we had missed the oppourtunity to get one when we played them in the league cup due to timing, went to the club shop which was closed , rang the bell and the guy came round to serve us from the club office. When he found out we wee Spurs fans he took us into the stadium and gave us a tour of the Cyril Knowles stand and afterwards introduced us to the Chairman and later to the then Manager Keith Houchen, with whom we sat in his office and chatted for a while .A day that will live with me forever , and I have watched out for Hartlepools results ever since .A fantastic welcome from a proper family club.Such a shame they are struggling currently
Tottenham versus Portsmouth FA Cup 1967, Spurs won 3-1
No one single game,Spurs vs Arsenal in 91 the Semi final when we stopped them doing the double,
Winning away at Manchester City for Champions League qualification, any game where we beat Chelsea, the 4 4 draw with Villa, the man city cup final ,just too many to name
Bolton away at the old Blundell Park ,losing 6-1 in the pouring rain, terrible journey home just a bad day and Gerry Francis as manager ,Bad times
from the welcome from the stewards, the dedicated room for away fans beneath the stand, along with a drop down screen showing games (if on) with proper seating area and tablecloths on the tables,a dedicated bar and hot food available they really make you feel welcome,a place where you are treated as human beings not cattle.A great stadium and always room for the travelling support.
Miles ahead of most premiership clubs in terms of courteousness and how fans should be treated.
Simply awful.Until a few years ago the away end was open to the elements, got absolutely soaked ,one small breeze block building selling teas with one old lady who was probably past retiring age 15 years before our visit, trying to serve 4000 cold hungry people, the toilet ,a painted wall with a gutter on the floor ,walls with barbed wire at the top, UGH! Been to grounds in third world countries better than this and they were Premier league at the time
