About benscott100

First Game

Stockport County v Hull City - Saturday 12th September 1992, Edgeley Park

Best Game

Manchester United 1-1 Chelsea (Man Utd won 6-5 on penalties) - UEFA Champions League Final 2008, Moscow, Luzhniki Stadium

History, atmosphere, watching the sun set over the hill from the third tier, watching in disbelief as Cristiano Ronaldo put a penalty wide and over 3 minutes into the game.

Despite being only 25 miles away from Manchester, unless you drive, getting there and back feels like you've been to hell and back. Walking what feels like 20 miles to Darwen train station and then waiting at Darwen train station for 2 hours for a train with only 3 carriages is enough to push any fan to the brink of madness, even when you have won the league for the 19th time!
