Who Will Win Serie A 2024/25? Everything You Need to Know

Who Will Win Serie A 2024/25? Everything You Need to Know

It's been 128 years since the prestigious Lega Serie A was founded in Italy in 1898 and the league continues to be one of the most exciting in Europe.

20 teams will compete across 38 rounds to determine who will be Kings of Italian football come next May and with 4 Champions League spots up for grabs and the looming threat of relegation for 3 teams, every team in this league has something to play for which is why punters love this league.

In this article, we'll take a look at who the favorites are for this season, form, marquee signings, and everything else you need to know for your next GGBet login.

Inter

Inter may have come up short in this season's first Milan derby but many would be remiss to write them off to win back-to-back Serie A titles and many bookmakers still have them down as favorites.

Simone Inzaghi's team has top players in this squad such as Mehdi Taremi, Marcus Thurum, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Inter have 20 Serie A titles at the time of writing and many fancy the Milan team for a 21st come the end of the season.

Juventus

The most successful club in Italian football, Juventus have a whopping 36 Serie A titles to their name and the Turin team is regularly in the running for Italy's greatest prize. The Old Lady will have been disappointed with their 3rd place finish last season and Thiago Motta will be hoping his team can compete for the title this year. Dusan Vlahovic, Andrea Cambiaso, Kenan Yildiz, and Juve certainly have the talent in their squad to do well but it's not been without drama with the notable omission of Paul Pogba following a 4-year suspension after failing a drug test. Motta will be eager to concentrate on the players he does have at his disposal but so far, Juve has had mixed success at the beginning of this season.

Napoli

It's been 16 months since Victor Osimhen's second-half equalizer brought Napoli their first Serie A title in 33 years and Antonio Conte's team has some serious firepower this year.

The Naples team has been doing some serious business this summer bringing in Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino for 35m EUR, Scott McTominay from Manchester United for 30.5m EUR, and Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for 30m EUR to name just a few marquee signings.

Conte will be hoping that such investments will be fruitful in making the Diego Maradona Stadium a fortress once more.

AC Milan

Just one title behind their arch-rivals Inter, AC Milan have won the Serie A 19 times. Fans will be quietly confident of their chances for the Rossoneri after they won this season's first Milan derby and with good reason because manager Paulo Fonseca has an abundance of talent at his disposal with Christian Pulisic, Álvaro Morata, Rafael Leão, and Tammy Abraham all excellent footballer. Such optimism though will need to be backed up with more consistency should AC Milan challenge for this year's Serie A.

Last 5 matches:

Atalanta

Bergamo-based Atalanta could be the dark horses of this year's Serie A and many bookmakers have them as the 5th favorite before the odds get stratospheric. Atalanta have an unfortunate record in that they hold the record for having played the most Serie A seasons without having ever won the league title. Manager Gian Piero Gasperini will be up against it if he wants to change that this season but he's made some interesting additions to the squad this summer having brought in Belgian attacking midfielder Charles De Ketelaere from AC Milan for a fee of 22m EUR, Mateo Retegui for the same fee from Genoa, and right back Raoul Bellanova from Torino for 20m EUR. There's certainly talent in this squad, but will it be enough to challenge for the title?
