How Germany Prepares For EURO 2024

How Germany Prepares For EURO 2024

European football will see its biggest event this summer: the UEFA European Championships, hosted by Germany. As you might expect, football fans worldwide are preparing to flock to the host cities this year, ready to indulge in football culture, German beer, and sports betting online. You may wonder how Germany prepares for the influx of players and fans this summer. Let's take a look at some of the biggest undertakings today.

Allianz Arena (Munchen)

Allianz Arena, the home of Bayern Munchen, will host the opening match of the 2024 European Championship. To say that it will be crowded is an understatement: more than 1.4 million tickets were requested for this venue alone, most of them for the opening game - more than 20 times its capacity!

The city has set up a UEFA EURO 2024 Fan Zone in the Olympiapark where fans who could not get a ticket can follow the matches on a 120 square meter screen mounted over the Olympic Lake. Aside from watching the games on massive screens, fans can participate in workshops, shop, attend concerts and have a good time in the Fan Zone.

Olympiastadion (Berlin)

Berlin's Olympic stadium will host the EURO 2024 Final. As you might expect, tickets for this event are in huge demand - more than 2 million tickets were requested for this match.

The German capital becomes Europe's football capital for the event. The world's largest football goal will frame the Brandenburg Gate. This area, along with the Reichstag, will turn into fan zones where fans can see all 51 games on massive screens and have a great time at the world's biggest fan pub.

Both fan zones will be accessible for fans free of charge.

Leipzig Stadium (Leipzig)

The Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, home to RB Leipzig, will host several high-profile matches, including Portugal vs. Czechia, Netherlands vs. France, and Croatia vs. Italy. And, of course, it will host its own EURO 2024 festival.

Held in Augustusplatz, the event will feature massive screens where you can watch the matches. Plus, a Ferris wheel, workshops, pubs, and concerts - including LaBrassBanda - will make the event even more colourful.

Volksparkstadion (Hamburg)

Volksparkstadion will host four regular matches and one of the quarter-finals. And for those who can't secure a ticket, Hamburg has an amazing Fan Zone experience, including a beach club with sun loungers and a DJ. That's the way to enjoy football, right?

Stuttgart Arena (Stuttgart)

Again, four regular matches and one quarter-final will be played in Stuttgart. The city went above and beyond to welcome football fans with four fan zones. They will have massive viewscreens for following the football action and more: beach football matches, eSports, food and drinks, and more.

Which EURO 2024 match - and the added benefits - is your ideal way to follow the games?
