What are the rules for the 2024/25 season? The competition rules have remained unchanged since 1992. 20 teams start the new season in the top division. Each team plays each opponent twice (once at home and once away), which means that 38 games have to be played in a season.
A win is rewarded with 3 points, a draw earns a team 1 point, and a defeat is, of course, worth 0 points. The best team at the end of the season wins the English championship, the teams ranked 1-4 advance to the group stage of the Champions League, the 5th team plays in the Europa League, and the 3 worst teams are relegated to the Championship (second league level).

The 2022/23 season also went to 'The Citizens', while the 2021/22 season was won by... Man City, and the same happened the year before!!!
