Watching Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in the 1979/80 season
Nottingham Forest v Ipswich - last game of 2016/17 season, 3-way relegation battle with Birmingham & Blackburn, a rollercoaster afternoon full of emotion, going down at HT but scored 3 second half goals to stay up on goal difference. Mass pitch invasion and euphoria at the final whistle all in glorious sunshine. Other notable games - El Classico at the Nou Camp 2017 Super Cup first leg, Real won 1-3, Ronaldo sent off, Aston Villa beating Derby in the 2018/19 Championship playoff final at Wembley, awesome atmosphere.
Peterborough United games in January 2015. The first football games I took my grandson to but at HT of the second game, against Yeovil, he said “Blues are rubbish can we go and see some red shirts play†and hence he became a Nottingham Forest supporter.
Good logistics (road & rail), good beer (Aston Tavern), always a good vibe around the ground, in and outside, compact facilities with good access for all the family, academy, store etc, Good concourse at the back of the Trinity Road stand. Family friendly club - pitch side tours pre-game a bonus. Seating good with most areas giving excellent views (worst yet has been top of the Doug Ellis but still fine), Villa fans sing and have a good humour despite not always delivering. Positive football under Dean Smith.
Soulless Lego stadium in an industrial estate. Derby fans moan alot.
