dumbarton vs sterling albion, free with the school from when i used to live in scotland, dumbarton won 1-0
first argyle match was a 1-1 draw at home to hartlepool
april 2002, plymouth vs qpr, 3rd from last game, plymouth are top qpr 2nd,
we needed to win to gian automatic promotion, 20,000+ sell out, including 2000+ qpr fans, the stadium was rocking on a beautiful sunny day, it was end to end with plenty of chances on both sides, then in the 82nd min davis norris turns crosses with his left foot mickey evans jumps up and what a goal!!!! 4 mins later a thru ball to friio dinks it over the ruching keeper GOAL!!!! we r going up, full time we here 3rd place bristol city could only draw ARGYLE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!
march 2007
argyle vs watford, fa cup quarter final, home park.
21,000+ sell out crowd, 2500+ watford fans
evening kick off on bbc1
the atmoshpere was like nothing ive ever seen at home park even better than qpr, early stages bouazza scores 1-0 watford noooo!!, plymouth attack attack attack, shot after shot saved by awesome on loan keeper ben foster, constantly bonbarding there goal but no way through, the green army are still deafening, still argyle attack getting closer and closer, what a match, what a display by the championship side against the premiership side, but more importantly what an amazing performance by ben foster, finally the full time whistle goes and watford win. we may have lost but it was a great game the biggest thrill ride ive had watching football since england vs germany in the 96 euro semi final
oldham vs argyle 2004, argyle were shocking we lost 4-1 my worst defeat, with a really shit ref in charge, mark cowburn
by far the best ground, witha a great veiw, and a great atmosphere, emerites stadium is great aswell but i prefer newcastles
its the biggest dump ive ever been 2, bristol citys ashton gate, qpr's loftus road and portsmouths fratton park are not far behind
