Home game against Ipswich at home. Cant remember what year (somewhere in the late 90's), but I do remember we got beat 1-0. Im sure Kieron Dyer scored, but dont quote me that, because I cant remember that either!
Tough one. Obviously the League 2 play off final against Rochdale sticks out for the occasion and the promotion we gained. But after thinking about it, it actually isn't the one I chose. My favourite game was a 1-0 away win at Wrexham. Last minute winners are always good, but this one was truly memorable. Long ball in from Adam Griffin, flick on from Tes Bramble, and hits Dickinson and loops over the keeper. Queue pandemonium. If that hadn't have gone in, the infamous 9 game run (9 wins, 9 clean sheets) would never have happened.
Any defeat in the 12/13 season. What an awful season that was, getting relegated to the Conference North. And topped off with a 4-0 battering at Kidderminster. Easily the worse team I have had the so-called privilege of watching.
I do like this ground, even if it can be considered "flat pack", and the same as Bolton's. Just something about it, not sure what, but something. Decent atmosphere, decent away day in general.
Athletics stadia should never be used for football. Luckily Rotherham are moving/moved, and thank god for that.
