One day im gonna be mayor
My first game was a match between Pompey and of all teams Birmingham City, which as a Villa fan, it gives me great satisfaction to say Pompey thrashed them 2-1. My first away match was between Chelsea and Villa at Stamford Bridge, and after going a goal up in fantastic fashion via the boot of that legend that is Mark Draper, it ended up a 4-1 drubbing in favour of Chelsea.
Again between Villa and Chelsea but this time a thrilling 4-4 draw on Boxing Day 2007. Coming back from 3-2 down and then 4-3 down all in the final 15 minutes to grab a point against the chels was a game to remember.
Probably losing 3-1 to Bolton Wanderers at Villa Park in 1997 sticks out as a shocker. Bob Taylor and Nathan Blake tore us apart... says enough.
Absolutely quality ground with a fantastic modern stadia aura attached to it.
I went with a couple of mates to watch Pompey v Swindon, terrible game, terrible pasty, and we sat in the end with no roof getting soaked.
